The Churchill Hotel was originally built in 1906 as a luxury apartment complex. After a series of renovations, the hotel has become a modern luxury hotel.

The care taken to preserve this beautiful building has earned it membership in the exclusive Historic Hotels of America group.

Food & beverage

Guests at the Churchill Hotel can enjoy dining in elegant comfort at the Chartwell Grill Restaurant. The restaurant serves a variety of Continental-inspired cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A convenient "grab and go" option is also available for guests who are in a hurry.

Open daily from 6:30 AM until 10:30 PM

The Chartwell Lounge provides a casual and intimate atmosphere for enjoying light lunches or evening cocktails.

Open Monday through Saturday until 12:30 AM

Complimentary coffee and tea are also available daily in the Chartwell Lounge from 5:30 AM until 11:00 AM.

Room service is available 24 hours a day.

RED LINE METRO STATION—DUPONT CIRCLE
Take the “Q” Street exit from the Dupont Circle Metro Station on the Red Line. Go north on Connecticut Avenue four blocks. The hotel is on the left side. We are the white building with the blue awning.

The churchill hotel is convenient to all airports serving the washington metro area.
From Dulles International Airport (iad) 35 miles/ 45 minutes
-Take the dulles access road towards washington, D.C. And then take route 66 east. Cross the theodore roosevelt bridge. Exit onto constitution avenue. Follow constitution until 18th street. Turn left on 18th street. Take 18th street to connecticut avenue. Turn left onto connecticut avenue. Follow connecticut northbound under dupont circle. Once out of the underpass the hotel is three blocks north on the left. We are the white building with the blue awning.

From Ronald Reagan National Airport (dca) 7 miles/ 20 minutes
-Take airport exit to the george washington parkway towards washington. Stay in the right lane and take the first exit onto 395 north, which takes you onto the 14th street bridge. Stay in the left lane. Follow 14th street until “r” street. Turn left onto “r” street. Continue until you reach connecticut avenue, approximately 8-9 blocks, and turn right. The hotel will be 4 blocks north on the left side. We are the white building with the blue awning.

From Baltimore Washington International Airport (bwi) 35 miles /45 minutes
-Take airport exit to route 50 west and continue until you reach new york avenue. Follow new york avenue until florida avenue and turn right. For a brief period, florida avenue will become “u” street and then will revert back to florida avenue. Stay on florida until connecticut avenue. Turn right onto connecticut avenue. The hotel will be 2 blocks north on the left side. We are the white building with the blue awning.
